We are proud that we can enumerate among our reference projects the creation of Hungary’s first 3-dimentional virtual environment. In 2010, we installed in the Computer and Automation Research Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA SZTAKI) the visual system of the immersive, 3 -dimension research laboratory. Some data about the system: passive image separation, real time visualization of the double of 4200x1500 pixels, more than 22 m2 of projected surface, real time head and hand tracking. The research laboratory may be very useful for certain industries characterised by strong R&D activities since models can be watched in 3D, a virtual environment generated by the system. There is no need to manufacture expensive prototypes, and it is also possible to perform trainings related to the manufacturing (e.g. simulation of assembly and repair). The project was performed in close cooperation with Lightware Visual Engineering Ltd., the technical partner of DNN|360.
